An Elegant Encounter with Art

This Art March, Cityplaza joins the citywide celebration of creativity with the grand presentation of CITY ART LOUNGE. Under the theme “IN ART WE SHARE”, the programme centres on “Perpetual Discussion Platforms”, a major work by renowned British artist Liam Gillick, previously featured at Art Basel Hong Kong 2025. From this cornerstone emerges three interconnected spaces, each offering a different mode of encounter: “LET’S SEE”, a public platform for artistic exchange; “LET’S INSPIRE”, a curated collection of multi-disciplinary art, design and culture magazines; and “LET’S SHARE”, a live music experience that guides visitors through sound. Together, they shape a fluid, human-centred dialogue – inviting art to become a language we share, and reimagining what a city’s public space can be.

LET’S SEE

Amid Cityplaza’s everyday bustle, “Perpetual Discussion Platforms”, a major work by renowned British artist Liam Gillick luminous palette gently opens a “third place”: “LET’S SEE”, where conversation and cultural exchange can unfold with ease – gathering unhurried moments within a fast-moving rhythm. Beneath the glass canopy of Cityplaza, the large-scale modular elevated platforms with coloured transparent canopies and benches—unfolds a vivid play of light and hues as sunlight refracts through it, embodying the spirit of multicultural convergence and intellectual exchange. Cityplaza invites passersby to slow down their pace and converse within the artistic space of effervescent light and shadows at the CITY ART LOUNGE, indulging in moments of serenity.

LET’S INSPIRE

“LET’S INSPIRE” welcomes visitors to slow down and savour the quiet pleasure of slow reading – wandering through a thoughtfully curated selection of reputable art, design, culture and trend magazines like “ArtReview”, “Numero” and “City Magazine” and drawing nourishment from language, ideas and aesthetics, under an ethereal umbrella of shadow play.
